#EC44 EXACT Trichocereus Bridgesii "Jiimz Strong Spine" Cactus Plant or Cutting 10-12"
The Succulent Source
Trichocereus Bridgesii "Jiimz Strong Spine" cactus specimen.
Two options, either a cutting or potted available.
These Bridgesiis are named "Strong Spines" per their distinctive and consistently thick grouping of spines. Spine counts tend to range from 3-5. Great strain of Bridgesii, they grow thick and tend to have a rounder/fuller head. Even in southern California, these guys can still develop various viral and fungal issues that tend to be common amongst Bridgesii. Humidity, excessive moisture, damage, and stress can all trigger symptoms. 99% of the time they will naturally heal, with the black area turning to a regular cactus scar color over a few months. Many collectors across the country where they have to control their growing environment and season may use various anti fungal/viral treatments. On very rare occasions we will take a knife to an area that is spreading/not healing and cut damaged tissue away and allow air movement and sun to help with healing. Spots can also occur via shipping, we recommend being patient and allowing time to naturally heal vs panicking!
Potted specimens will ship in their 1 gallon containers and will average between 10-12", sometimes taller per season. Same goes with cuttings, approx. 12" in length. These are pretty specimens, but not show winners, they will likely have some scars and marks etc as just shared.
Handle with CARE and please see our Cactus Care for basic care info.
**Cactus are not perfect, they may have small flaws, we try and photograph all sides of a cactus including any flaws that catch our attention, but please do not expect every spine to be perfect, these are growing cactus and like people, they have character!
